the dirtiest job ever

its official. the house is ours. it had better be since we spent the day ripping up 6 rooms of carpet and one vicious stairway. talk about the dirtiest job ever. we were badasses though and got it all done and rolled up. it felt very good to finally be able to get started on getting the house ready. we were super productive.

the walk through went well. she left the pagoda in the garden but took this big ass mirror over the fireplace that she was supposed to leave. ah well. sadly, the mystery shed that we never got into was empty. it may be foolish, but we were sincerely hoping there would be a riding mower in there. no dice.

bridgie spent the day with her great aunt nell and auntie patti and had the best time playing while we filled her new house with dust. andrew was with us napping the day away in the fresh air of the screened in porch.

close close close

today we signed - and signed - our lives away. the house is almost ours. of course the transaction had to be a little bit "non-standard" and we don't officially close until tomorrow morning. this means that the walk-through will happen after signing everything. yes, we know could be bad news but, we are doing some sort of holdback on the funds until the walk-through that will cover any problems. hopefully.

we'll see. eek!
